Meet Dr. Lily Stokely

I’m Lily Stokely, ND (she/her), cofounder and co-owner of The Health Collective and a licensed naturopathic physician. I work with patients navigating complex, chronic health conditions, especially when symptoms feel interconnected, difficult to explain, or unresolved despite prior care.

At The Health Collective, my focus is on providing thoughtful, systems-based care that looks beyond isolated symptoms. I work with patients dealing with digestive conditions, mast cell disorders, mold-related illness, long COVID, POTS, and other overlapping concerns.

My Clinical Philosophy

I believe complex illness requires curiosity, time, and a willingness to look at the full picture. Many patients I work with have been told their labs are normal or that nothing more can be done. My role is to stay engaged in the process of understanding what may be contributing to your symptoms and to help build a path forward.

I take a whole-body approach, considering how digestion, immune function, nervous system regulation, inflammation, and environmental exposures may be connected.

I became a naturopathic physician after studying nutrition for four years at the University of California Berkeley. I graduated from Bastyr University in 2016 and then completed a two year naturopathic residency in primary care at The Emerald City Clinic.

After my undergraduate degree at Berkeley I was set to enter conventional medical school knowing I wanted to be a physician, but there continued to be a feeling of dissatisfaction with the mainstream medical model. It felt as though something was missing and I wanted to offer a model in my care approach that supported a whole body lens instead of a broken down set of symptoms defining a person's health.

What I learned is that any healthcare model can come with harm if there isn’t a patient centered approach to care. Autonomy in decision making for patients is the key to leaving patients with feeling empowerment, knowledge and safety in their healthcare decisions. Everyone should be given the opportunity to explore their body and their health with a guide that allows them in the end to choose what is right for their care.

Care with me is collaborative and paced. We look at your full history, prior testing, and lived experience to identify patterns and next steps.

I support both symptom relief and deeper root-cause work. For some patients, that means stabilizing symptoms first. For others, it means beginning a more comprehensive evaluation early on.

I also prioritize autonomy. I work with you to determine what feels realistic, accessible, and sustainable for your life.

How I Approach Care

Clinical Experience & Leadership

Beyond clinical practice, I have trained residents and physicians since 2019 in both eating disorder medical management and trauma-informed primary care.

As medical director and co-owner of both The Health Collective and our sister practice, One Connection Healthcare, I have overseen the care of more than 5,000 patients, deepening both clinical expertise and relational leadership within a large multidisciplinary practice.

I maintain ongoing continuing education across complex chronic illnesses, eating disorder care, primary care medicine, and integrative health specialties to ensure my practice remains informed, current, and responsive to patient needs.

Who I Serve

I enjoy working with patients who:

  • are experiencing chronic or complex symptoms

  • want to understand the root causes of their condition

  • are open to a step-by-step, investigative process

  • value a collaborative relationship with their provider

What Keeps Me Joyful

If you experience my care, you’ll see I have a deep passion for the work I provide. My work is more than a job. It gives me great purpose, connection and community and most will feel that in the way I show up in our interactions.

Outside of my work my family is also my balance, my young kids reminding me of how important it is that I remain present in their lives and also to model a work life that includes joy and passion.

Owning The Health Collective and One Connection Healthcare alongside my husband, Michael Rak, is also one of the greatest privileges of my life. Similar to our overlapping passion for our business we both share joy in skiing, hiking, and gardening.

My happy place in the summer is barefoot with dirty hands in my garden beds watching my kids play in our yard. My creative outlets are growing flowers and baking cupcakes and a winter rainy day baking with my kids keeps me reminded of the simple pleasure of cozy nesting.
